　　The traditional function of the air flotation device is to remove the oil in the emulsified state of the sewage or the fine suspended particulate impurities with a density close to that of water, to promote the adhesion of the bubbles and the particulate impurities and to form the particles with appropriate size. The granules are generally prepared by adding a medicament to the coagulation treatment in the sewage before the formation of the microbubbles or adding the demulsifier to destroy the stability of the emulsified oil in the water.

       Air flotation equipment can be effectively used for the concentration of activated sludge. Some air flotation equipment is mainly used to remove suspended impurities in sewage, or as a pretreatment of secondary biological treatment to ensure the relative stability of biological treatment influent water quality. Or as a deep treatment of secondary biological treatment after secondary biological treatment, to ensure that the quality of discharged water meets the requirements of relevant standards.

      The air floatation method can be divided into air flotation air floatation method, electrical floatation method, biological and chemical air floatation method, dissolved air flotation method, and the details are as follows:

1. Air flotation (dispersed air flotation). The method uses a mechanical shearing knife to pulverize air mixed in water into fine bubbles. For example, the suction pipe of the pump suction air float, the jet air float, the diffusion plate aeration air float and the impeller air float, etc. are all such.

2. Electrical floatation (electrolytic flocculation). The method is provided with positive and negative electrodes in the water. When the direct current is applied, the initial ecological microbubbles are generated on one electrode (cathode), and at the same time, effects such as electrolytic coagulation are also generated.

3. Biological and chemical flotation. The method utilizes the action of a living organism or flocculates a chemical agent in water to release a gas.

4. Dissolved air flotation (dissolved air flotation). The method fully mixes the gas and the liquid in the bronze gas-liquid mixing pump to dissolve the air in the water and reach a saturated state under a certain pressure, and then achieves the air flotation. According to the pressure condition when the bubble is separated from the water, the dissolved air flotation method is divided into two types: a pressure dissolved air flotation method and a dissolved gas vacuum air float method. From the effect, the pressure-dissolved air flotation method produced by the three-phase three-phase machine is easier to realize than the dissolved gas vacuum floatation method, and is economical and easy to operate. Dissolved air vacuum floatation is used only in special cases.
